The T-shirt problems brands bring to us
Almost every brand we onboard arrives with the same handful of scars. Do any of these sound familiar?
- “The last supplier’s cotton felt thin and scratchy compared to the sample.”
- “Our prints cracked and faded after a few washes — customers sent them back.”
- “Sizes ran different between colourways, so half the drop didn’t fit.”
- “They changed the fabric on the second order without telling us.”
- “MOQ of 1,000 per colour killed our first collection before it started.”
- “Labels, hang tags and packaging arrived wrong, so we had to repack everything ourselves.”
How we solve each one
| What you told us | What we do about it |
|---|---|
| Fabric feels different from the sample | We lock the fabric mill, batch and gsm before sampling, and state them on your order sheet — the bulk ships from the same lot. |
| Prints crack or fade | Correct ink type for your artwork (plastisol, water-based, discharge, DTG), cure-temperature logging, and a wash test before bulk. |
| Inconsistent sizing | One pattern card, one grading standard, measured at 3 points per size on a full-size grading table. |
| Silent substitutions | Written spec sheet signed off by you before production. Any change needs your approval in writing. |
| MOQ too high | From 50 pcs per style and colour, and we will quote a smaller trial run when you are launching. |
| Wrong labels and packaging | We handle neck labels, woven labels, hang tags, polybags and custom boxes as one line item so nothing gets missed. |

Pricing, MOQ and how to bring your cost down
Custom T-shirts usually land in these bands. The biggest levers are fabric weight, print method, number of colours and order quantity.
| Cost factor | How it moves your price |
|---|---|
| Fabric weight & quality | Moving from 180 gsm to 250 gsm typically adds cost but doubles the perceived value. |
| Decoration method | Screen print is cheapest at volume; DTG costs more per piece but needs no setup; embroidery adds a premium look. |
| Number of print colours | Each colour adds a screen and a setup charge for screen printing. |
| Order quantity | Unit price falls sharply from 50 → 300 → 1,000 pcs because setup is amortised. |
| Labels & packaging | Woven labels, hang tags, custom polybags and boxes are quoted as separate line items. |

What sets Adiwe apart
One factory, not a middleman
You quote directly with the people who cut, sew and print your order — no trading-company margin.
Low-MOQ friendly
We built our lines around small brands: start at 50 pcs per style and colour.
Spec locked in writing
Fabric, gsm, measurements, labels and packing are written down and signed before production.
Consistent second orders
We archive your pattern card, fabric lot and print settings so reorders match.
Communication you can act on
Progress photos at cutting, printing and packing, plus one English-speaking contact.
Sampling before commitment
You approve a physical sample — not a mock-up — before we cut bulk fabric.
What brand clients typically achieve with us
Illustrative outcomes our clients aim for — not projections of your results.
Faster launches
Brands move from approved sample to delivered bulk in about 4–6 weeks.
Lower returns
Consistent sizing and wash-tested prints cut “not as described” returns.
Repeatable drops
Archived specs mean drop 2, 3 and 4 match drop 1 without re-sampling from scratch.
These are typical scenarios our clients plan for, not guarantees of your commercial results.
Custom T-Shirt Manufacturing — frequently asked questions
What is your minimum order quantity for custom T-shirts?
Our standard minimum is 50 pieces per style and fabric colour. For a first collection we can often quote a smaller trial run — send us your target quantity and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
How long does it take to produce custom T-shirts?
Sampling usually takes 7–10 days after artwork and payment. Bulk production runs about 20–30 days depending on quantity and decoration, plus 3–7 days for inspection and packing and shipping transit.
How much does a custom T-shirt cost?
Most bulk orders land between US$3 and US$12 per piece. Fabric weight, print method, number of colours and quantity are the biggest drivers — the exact price comes with your free quote.
Can you match a T-shirt I already sell?
Yes. Send us a physical sample or a tech pack with fabric, weight, measurements and print details and we will match it, then quote against your current cost.
Do you offer DTG, screen printing and embroidery?
We offer screen printing (including puff and discharge), DTG, heat transfer, sublimation and embroidery. We recommend the method based on your artwork, fabric and quantity.
Can you add my labels, hang tags and custom packaging?
Yes — woven labels, printed neck labels, size labels, hang tags, polybags, sticker seals and custom boxes can all be produced and packed as part of the order.
Do you ship worldwide?
We ship to the US, UK, EU, Australia and the Middle East by express courier, air freight or sea freight, with documentation prepared for your customs broker.
Can you handle small repeat orders?
Yes. Reorders do not have to be a full MOQ run — we keep your pattern card and print settings on file so repeat orders are quicker and cheaper.
